Tower Wharf

VPMC took part in the stunning new build of the Tower Wharf Cafe. Located just off St Katherine’s way the Café provides a retreat for the 2.5 million tourists that visit the Tower of London each year. Boasting fantastic indoor and alfresco dining on the wharf, the entrance is via a glazed lobby at the centre of the wharf elevation into a tall dining room and bar opening onto an expansive glass-walled terrace.

Open in time for the Olympics, the Tower Wharf Café quickly became a significant addition to London’s cultural and historical riverside remaining sensitive to the heritage Tower whilst acknowledging the modern culture of the wharf.

Within the main dining hall, VPMC coordinated with other contractors in order to complete the dry lining, partitions and suspended ceilings, thus providing the back of house, kitchen and support functions to the new building. Maintaining a tight control on quality VPMC worked in a timely fashion to complete all works on the 1000 sq ft project within our 12 week program.

“VPMC’s commitment, planning and organisation was highly commendable. By providing a high standard of service, VPMC facilitated the timely completion of this project.”
